Our Teachers
Our teachers have over 100 years combined experience. Each person brings a different energy and approach to yoga, and often different style. However all of our teachers are certified, and are patient, kind, and encouraging.
Rebecca Kronlage
Rebecca, ERYT-500, Yoga Alliance Certified, Professional Level Certified Kripalu Teacher has been a student, educator, yoga teacher trainer and practitioner for nearly 30 years. Her teaching is deeply influenced by Buddhist and Yogic practices with focus on compassion and gratitude for living each day. As an ovarian cancer survivor, she brings a deep sense of awe, love and respect for yoga as a deep healing practice that has saved her life.
Diana Damelio
Diana Damelio (Tarika) ERYT-500,YACEP is a senior Kripalu Yoga teacher and trainer. She is the founding Director of Professional Training and a former Dean of the School of Yoga at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Stockbridge, MA. Diana has been practicing yoga for over 30 years, teaching Kripalu Yoga since 1992 and has led countless workshops and yoga teacher trainings. She is a certified professional-level Kripalu yoga teacher, a Level II i-rest© yoga nidra instructor and a member of both the Yoga Alliance and Kripalu Professional Association. Diana brings a wealth of knowledge to her classes and is known for her inspirational teaching style and ability to hold safe and sacred space. She teaches with a sense of humor, compassion and joy.
Michelle Ball
Michele has taught intermediate and advanced young dancers along with adults ranging from the beginner to professional level for over 30 years. She worked with the Baton Rouge Ballet Theatre as a soloist performer, teacher, choreographer, and associate director. She has a BFA in Ballet from the University of Utah, apprenticed with Ballet West and has toured with the American Festival Ballet. She is so happy to now be living in Bay St Louis with her husband Dannie and dog Emma. Michele is excited to bring adult ballet classes to Treehouse Yoga.
Alyssa Dausman
Alyssa is an RYT-500 ERYT-200 YACEP Vinyasa trained Instructor, as well as an avid Ashtanga practitioner. She teaches a wide range of classes from beginners to advanced. She has also had training with Warriors at Ease and has been an instructor for Naval Special Warfare since 2015. At Treehouse, she teaches Advanced Vinyasa, but also Foundations and Flexibility-an alignment-based beginners practice she calls "Yoga for people that don't do Yoga". She regularly offers inversion and arm balance workshops for students that are interested in a more challenging physical practice, however her focus is on safety first!
Tonya Wetzel
Tonya has a background in dance, and brings her love for movement to her classes. Her classes are challenging yet light-hearted and focus on alignment, breath work, and finding balance between effort and ease. She loves that she gets to share the joy and healing that yoga brought to her life. In addition to teaching yoga, she flips houses with her husband. Outside of work, Tonya is a travel enthusiast who loves the outdoors and adventure, playing with her dogs and foster dogs, and volunteering at the animal shelter. Tonya is a RYT-200 yoga teacher and the founder of www.faithfulflow.com.
Steven Furr
Steven completed his first teacher training with Doug Swenson, a master yoga practitioner, philosopher, poet, and dedicated health advocate, in July 1999. Steven also attends numerous yearly trainings and workshops to continue enriching his teaching and practice. His underlying Yogic philosophy is keeping Yoga accessible for everyone by presenting all level practices with attention on alignment and mindfulness. His kind heart has lead him to teaching Community Classes at Treehouse Yoga and are accessible for all.
Nathalie Croix
Nathalie Croix has dedicated her life to the healing arts, alternative medicine, and meditation. Her training includes four extensive trips to India to study at The Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute. She is an author, blogger, a SmartFLOW certified teacher, a yoga teacher trainer E-RYT 500 Hour, certified sound healer with Five Sense Collective, Reiki energy healer, a life coach, and founder of Shanti Yoga Training School. Nathalie is the host of Life On Earth Podcast.
Amanda Walley
Amanda is a 200hr Kripalu trained yoga teacher. Her classes place an emphasis on body movement linked with breath to bring forward fuller expression in the body for somatic release. In her classes at Treehouse Yoga, she teaches a blend of Hatha and Vinyasa for Sunrise Yoga Flow. She loves to share the transformational nature of yoga and to help yoga students feel more relaxed and relieved of tension. In addition to yoga, Amanda is a Reiki Master, Energy Worker, and Life Coach.
Tami Satchfield
Tami is a certified fitness instructor, personal trainer, and yoga teacher with over 15 years of experience. She is certified in multiple modalities of yoga including hot power yoga, Body Flow, BUTI yoga, restorative yoga and hands-on-assistance. She has also co-lead hot power yoga teacher training for 6 years. She is passionate about sharing the practice of yoga, holistic healing and the study and implementation of Ayurvedic and yogic philosophies.
Connie Raley
Connie Raley, RYT-500, ERYT-200, YACEP began her practice of yoga in the late 1990’s. She entered her first yoga teacher training in 2012 in Los Angeles, California. Through her training, she discovered the necessity of building both strength and flexibility for the overall health and balance of her body, and how deeply that work penetrated layers beyond the physical. Her work, efforts, and struggles on the mat prepared her to better face the world off the mat, building patience and perseverance. Her intention in teaching is to guide others through their own physical and mental limitations to reach a deeper level of strength, resilience, and peace.
Nicki Villarruba
Nicki Villarrubia is a wife, mother, and lover of being outdoors. She has been a yoga instructor for three years, leading both Anusara and Ashtanga sessions. Nicki completed her yoga teacher training at Balance Yoga & Wellness in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her favorite asanas are Kapotasana (pigeon) for a good stretch, and Pincha Mayurasana (forearm stand) for a good challenge. Currently, Nicki is pursuing a law degree at Loyola University New Orleans, but is excited to fill in as a substitute teacher at Tree House Yoga.
Laurel Hall
Laurel believes that she is a student of life. She is always open to learning and remaining curious about what life has to offer beyond her wildest dreams. Having a background as an artist, she finds that incorporating visualizations in her teaching to be most potent in helping her students tune into their own bodies. Laurel is also a certified Ayurveda Wellness Coach. She has experienced the benefits of incorporating the ancient teachings of Ayurveda into her life to find balance and peace within. She has made it her goal to bring the wisdom of Ayurveda into her yoga classes, making it accessible for everyone. Beyond yoga, Laurel is currently pursuing her MFA in Illustration and she loves spending time with her cats!
